Melbourne Music Video Festival’s launch party at The Grace Darling on November 15.

The Melbourne Music Video Festival is launching this November! With a party set to go down at the Grace Darling, punters can expect to see Magic Bones, The Scouts and Don’t Get Lost perform live! Get along and show your support. Doors are open from 9pm.

The Peeks launching debut EP at Revolver on November 1.

Melbourne folk rock quartet The Peeks are set to launch their debut EP at Revolver on November 1. The lead single, “Little Black Dog”, is out now, with the EP most definitely showcasing what the band have got and how they’ve harnessed their musicality. Supported by The Zanes, Maeflower and July Days (solo), the EP launch kicks off from 8:30pm.

Battlefield Band from Scotland performing at the Thornbury Theatre on November 3.

Scotland’s Battlefield Band will play at the Thornbury Theatre this coming weekend! Their new album Room Enough For All finds the band fresh and invigorated and once again, demonstrates how brilliantly renowned they have become. At the edge of Scottish folk music, Battlefield Band is sure to impress on this Australian trip.

Premium Fantasy launching Active/Passive EP at the Gasometer.

Premium Fantasy will officially launch their EP Active/Passive at the Gasometer next week! The duo is known for their fusion of electronic and synth sounds, making some very special soundscapes indeed. Sure, they’ve only played a handful of shows, but Premium Fantasy are most definitely an act you’ll want to catch in this early stage – you’ll be one of those people who can say they saw them before they got huge.

The Ramshackle Army at the John Curtin Hotel on November 4th.

The Ramshackle Army is taking to the John Curtin on November 4 to launch their new single, “Anchors Aweigh”! Taken from their forthcoming debut album, Letters From the Road Less Travelled, the track is the Melbourne celt-punks at their fieriest and definitely suggests what we can be expecting from their live show. Check them out on Melbourne Cup Eve!

Bad Vision launching 12” at the Old Bar on November 8th.

Bad Vision will be using the Old Bar in Fitzroy next week to launch their debut LP – 14 songs that are made specifically to rock the shit out of a punter. They launched their double A-side 7” single “112/Visions” successfully earlier in the year and now, you’re not going to want to miss the band do the same with their album, on sweet 12” vinyl. They are to be supported by Digger and the Pussy Cats, Kids of Zoo, Richie 1250 and the Brides of Christ.

The Davidson Brothers set for November residency at the Spotted Mallard

The Davidson Brothers will be performing every Sunday in November down at the Spotted Mallard. Spend you Sunday afternoons with the award-winning duo, as they use this opportunity to get worked up for their summer festival season – they’ll be playing at Meredith at the end of the year! Head down and see them from 4:30pm on November 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th!

K-Ci & JoJo performing at Trak Lounge Bar on November 3.

R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo is set to perform at Trak this weekend! Their ‘Farewell Tour’ is hitting Melbourne for the final time ever so if you are fan, don’t dawdle. With their well-known battles with drugs and alcohol plaguing much of their recent career, K-Ci & JoJo are now clean and performing better than ever. They chose to come to Australia specifically to thank their fans for sticking by them during the hard times and to pay them back for all their support. She’s become a household name over 2013 and now Sam Buckingham is headed to wrap up her year on the touring circuit with a special gig alongside the equally as talented Buffalo Tales with a December show at Revolver. Buckingham and Buffalo Tales will be performing solo sets on the night, whilst joining each other onstage as well for some truly heartwarming moments of live performance. Don’t miss out!

Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen at the Spotted Mallard on Friday!

Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, nominee for Best Male Artist at the Age Music Victoria Awards, will be coming to the Spotted Mallard for the venue’s 1st birthday on November 1st! Forming back in 2000, the group has gone on to release three acclaimed records, win multiple awards and form a steady and loyal fan base. 2013 has been fruitful for the band and this celebration at the Spotted Mallard can be seen as a party to celebrate their achievements as much as it about the venue turning 1 (which is awesome too, by the way).

Silo Arts & Records will host an unofficial showcase at the The Workers Club in November for Melbourne Music Week. Featuring the following artists, this is set to be an awesome gathering!

Pretty City launching debut EP Heights in Melbourne on November 30th.

Melbourne trio Pretty City are set to launch their debut EP Heights at the end of November! With the lead single “Falling In and Out of Love” kicking ass as a follow up to the earlier release, “Ignoring My Friends”, this EP is set to be a great one. They’ll be performing at Boney on November 30, supported by Warmth Crashes In.

Fractures launching “Cadence” at the Workers Club on November 28.

Melbourne’s Fractures will be launching new single “Cadence” and a new live show as well at the Workers Club at the end of November! Fractures’ debut single “Twisted” has fared really well, gaining the ‘most played track’ on triple j unearthed for the first half of the year, as well as racking up a shitload of plays on SoundCloud since. Check him out – you’ll want to party.

Max Savage and the False Idols launching new EP at the Workers Club on November 4th.

Since he moved to Melbourne, Max Savage have been making all sorts of good waves. His unique brand of soul and Australiana has been turning heads and it was at the end of 2012 when Savage and his band packed up shop and went to Tasmania to record what is their debut EP False Idols. The band will be launching the EP at the Workers Club next week, supported by the likes of Miss Eileen & King Lear and Buffalo Tracy.

Guitar Wolf to play the Espy on November 28th

Japan’s Guitar Wolf will be bringing their rock and roll through to the Espy at the end of November! On the back of a huge 20 date American tour, the band’s Australian visit is just what rock fans will be yearning for come November 28th. Their live show is truly something to beheld, so mark this date down, prepare your ears and head along!
